North Myrtle Beach Launches Pet Supply Donation Month to Benefit Local Humane Society

The City is collecting pet food, cleaning supplies, and enrichment items throughout July at three convenient drop-off locations — with the drive kicking off at tonight’s City Council meeting.

The City of North Myrtle Beach is calling on residents and visitors to help support animals in need this summer through a month-long pet supply donation drive benefiting the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach. Running throughout the month of July, the initiative invites the community to drop off supplies at three city locations, helping to stock the no-kill shelter at 409 Bay Street that has been finding permanent homes for abandoned animals on the Grand Strand since 2001.

The drive officially kicks off tonight at the June 15 City Council meeting, where attendees are invited to bring donations to mark the beginning of the community effort. Collection runs through the end of July.
