(Note: Cape Fred II is now Keeler's Cove.) We stayed at this lovely home the first week of August. There were actually two families consisting of 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 3 elementary age children. There was plenty of room. I would say the house could also even accomodate 3 families as there is enough floor space in the 2 master bedrooms for sleeping bags or air mattresses for the kids. I can't really think of anything the house lacked. The laundry room was great so we didn't have to do so much dirty laundry when we got home. Although the refridgerator did not have ice and water in the door, it did have an ice maker in the freezer that kept up beautifully. We would dump the ice bucket into our cooler in the morning, head to the beach for the day, and upon our return the ice bucket would be just about full again. The walk to the beach is not bad at all, probably not even 5 minutes. The closest beach access puts you between 9th and 10th avenue, so the beach is not too crowded as there are not many high rise hotels on that stretch. The pool was nice to jump in when we got back from the beach too! The pool water was very warm. Would highly recommend this rental and will probably return!

Thanks for your comments. FYI... The Cape Fred II is under new ownership and is being renamed "Keeler's Cove". It will still be a fantastic choice for your family's beach vacation headquarters!

(note: The Cape Fred II is now Keeler's Cove.) We just returned home from a weeks stay at the Cape Fred II. This home is a great place to stay. There is a bathroom for each of the 4 bedrooms. The home is very nicely furnished. The pool is a wonderful ammenity. We were able to sit by the pool while my 2 grandsons slept by bringing a baby monitor outside with us. The walk to the beach is very close and easy with a public access in a great location. We could get anywhere from restaurants to grocery stores in a matter of minutes and a short drive. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. We will definitely stay here again!
