Allegiant Air Launches New Nonstop Route from Atlantic City to Myrtle Beach

Travel to the Grand Strand is about to get easier for visitors from the Northeast. Allegiant Air has announced a new nonstop flight connecting Atlantic City, New Jersey, directly to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, offering travelers a faster and more convenient way to reach one of the East Coast’s most popular coastal destinations.

The new route is scheduled to begin May 21, just in time for the summer travel season. The low-cost airline is celebrating the launch with introductory one-way fares starting at $49, with tickets already available for booking.

The nonstop service will connect travelers from the Jersey Shore region directly to Myrtle Beach, eliminating the need for layovers and making weekend getaways and family vacations more accessible. For many travelers in southern New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area, the new route significantly shortens travel time to the South Carolina coast.

Myrtle Beach continues to draw visitors each year for its wide beaches, family-friendly attractions, golf courses, live entertainment, and coastal dining scene. The addition of a direct flight from Atlantic City reflects ongoing demand for convenient and affordable travel options to the Grand Strand, particularly during peak spring and summer months.

Allegiant Air has been steadily expanding its offerings from Atlantic City, already providing routes to several Florida destinations and preparing to introduce service to the Dominican Republic beginning in March. The new Myrtle Beach connection further strengthens Atlantic City’s position as a growing hub for leisure travel along the East Coast.

Tourism leaders across the Myrtle Beach area have long emphasized the importance of accessible air travel in supporting visitor growth. New direct routes like this one make it easier for travelers to plan short escapes, extended vacations, and repeat visits throughout the year.

With summer approaching and demand for coastal travel rising, the Atlantic City–Myrtle Beach route is expected to become a popular option for families, couples, and retirees seeking a simple and affordable path to the Carolina coast.
