Breeze Airways Adds New Nonstop Islip–Myrtle Beach Route Beginning May 2026
Breeze Airways will launch new nonstop flights between Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, beginning May 6, 2026. The twice-weekly service, offered on Wednesdays and Sundays, will be operated using Airbus A220 aircraft. Introductory fares start at $69.
This new route expands Breeze Airways’ presence at MacArthur Airport to nine nonstop destinations, continuing the airline’s strategic growth since launching service there in 2022. Breeze began its ISP operations with nonstop flights to Charleston and Norfolk and has since increased its footprint based on customer demand and airport momentum.
Officials at Long Island MacArthur Airport emphasized that the new Myrtle Beach route aligns with the airport’s long-term plan to remain a competitive and attractive option for airlines. The airport maintains low operating costs and supports marketing initiatives that encourage capacity investment. According to the Town of Islip, the airport supports approximately 6,000 jobs, operates on a $19 million annual budget, and generates an estimated $600 million in regional economic impact.
Breeze joins other airlines currently operating at MacArthur Airport, including Avelo Airlines, Cape Air, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue Airways, and Southwest Airlines. Travelers benefit from the airport’s close parking, easy gate access, and connections via the Long Island Rail Road.
As one of the top-ranked small airports in the nation—recently named No. 2 by USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards and listed among the nation’s 50 best airports by The Washington Post—MacArthur continues to expand its offerings for both local travelers and visitors. The new Breeze Airways flights are expected to increase travel opportunities for Long Island residents heading to the Myrtle Beach area while also bringing additional tourism to the region.
