Family Kingdom Announces Raptor Coaster and Four New Thrill Rides for 2026 Season

MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Family Kingdom Amusement Park is expanding in a big way.

The iconic oceanfront amusement park in Myrtle Beach has announced the addition of four new rides, highlighted by the debut of the Raptor Coaster, set to open in late 2026. The new attraction will become the Southeast’s first single-rail roller coaster, marking a major milestone for thrill-seekers visiting the Grand Strand.

In addition to the Raptor Coaster, Family Kingdom will introduce three more high-energy attractions: Inferno, Kraken, Colossus, and Crazy Chopper. The rides promise a mix of spinning action, towering thrills, and family-friendly excitement designed to appeal to a wide range of guests.

This season also brings back two returning favorites: The Flip Side and The Lunartic, adding to the park’s dynamic lineup of classic and modern attractions.

The expansion comes during a celebratory year for the historic Swamp Fox, which turns 60 in 2026. The wooden roller coaster remains one of Myrtle Beach’s most beloved attractions and continues to draw generations of visitors.

Construction on the new coaster is already underway, with the official opening expected in late 2026.
