If you’re planning a spring getaway with Thomas Beach Vacations, take note: the South Carolina Department of Transportation has announced upcoming overnight closures on a well-traveled highway near North Myrtle Beach.

Beginning March 30, crews will close the S.C. 90 bridge that crosses over U.S. 17 in Little River for essential repair work. The closures will take place nightly from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. and are expected to continue into April.

Fortunately, daytime and weekend traffic will not be affected, allowing beachgoers and locals to travel as usual during peak hours. Drivers passing through the area at night should slow down and remain alert near construction zones for safety.

If your vacation plans bring you to the Grand Strand in early spring, Thomas Beach Vacations recommends checking your travel routes ahead of time and allowing for a few extra minutes if you’re driving through Little River after dark.
