The Ocean Drive section of North Myrtle Beach could almost be considered the “heart” of the city. It is the birthplace of the Shag, the official South Carolina State Dance, and consists of several dance clubs–Spanish Galleon, Fat Harold’s Beach Club, and Ducks.
Ocean Drive has an enjoyable and walkable Main Street with eateries, boutiques, and souvenir stores. It is home to the city’s only oceanfront amusement park and the Ocean Drive Pavilion (arcade and entertainment center).
