VACATION INSURANCE is automatically offered and recommended with your vacation when you make your reservation so your trip is worry free! Suppose you have to cancel or interrupt your stay due to a sudden emergency? The insurance coverage protects you and provides reimbursement for the portion of your trip you might miss if you are required to depart early due to an emergency.
THOMAS BEACH VACATIONS has partnered with Red Sky Insurance to provide Sun Trip Preserver© coverage, providing vacation cancellation and interruption service as well as emergency and travel assistance. If you decide to cancel the insurance, you can do so up to 14 days after reserving and the premium fee will be removed. However, we strongly suggest you protect your family’s vacation investment–there is no substitute for peace of mind.
QUICK FACTS about Sun Trip Preserver© Travel Insurance
Vacation insurance covers trip cancellation or interruption due to illness or injury of a person traveling with their group and for mandatory evacuation of your vacation destination due to hurricane. Pre-existing conditions also may be covered. Details, exclusions and additional information can be provided upon request.
ALSO COVERED – vacation cancellation/interruption due to:
- A named hurricane or other natural disaster (such as flood, fire or tornado)
- Destination vacation home made uninhabitable due to natural disaster
- Your primary residence or that of your traveling companions made uninhabitable by natural disaster
- Sickness, injury or death
- Employment transfer/relocation or layoff/termination (one year of employment required)
- Jury duty or court subpoena
- Military call to emergency duty, reassignment or leave revoked
ADDITIONAL SUN TRIP PRESERVER coverage includes:
- 24-hour worldwide travel assistance
- 24-hour emergency hotline
- Identity theft recovery assistance
- Up to $100,000 reimbursement for rental costs
- $200 per day ($750 maximum) for trip delay expenses (such as hotel lodging)
- Up to $25,000 emergency medical coverage
- Up to $400 baggage delay coverage (to help cover costs to replace clothing)
- Car rental coverage Roadside assistance
WHO MAY PURCHASE INSURANCE?
Sun Trip Preserver© travel insurance is offered on all reservations booked at least 30 days before the arrival date. If elected, actual purchase of the insurance occurs when we receive payment on a reservation. Reservations booked within 30 days of arrival may also be eligible for insurance coverage at a higher rate if you so choose. (Please call for details.)
HOW DO I ADD TRAVEL INSURANCE TO MY RESERVATION?
It’s easy. Call us toll-free at 866.895.9315 (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday) or send a fax to us at 843.273.3401. Once added to an existing reservation, any payments already on your account are immediately used for the premium due (travel insurance is considered paid first). Subsequent payments from you are used for other items on your reservation.
CAN I CANCEL TRAVEL INSURANCE?
Yes, you may cancel/decline travel insurance in writing within 14 days after reserving by sending us a fax (843.273.3001) or email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your name, reservation number and your note requesting cancellation of the travel insurance on your reservation. Refund of any travel insurance premium is subject to our receiving the appropriate notice in addition to the travel insurance policy guidelines.
