In the years 1969 through 1974, no other group achieved more top 10 hits, moved more records or sold more concert tickets. Their hits wind through the fabric of pop culture today, whether on the radio where they are heard day in and day out, in TV commercials or in major motion pictures.

Goblins, ghouls and ghosts oh my! The North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex transforms into a safe haven for the thrill seekers of North Myrtle Beach on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Open to all ages, the Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with Coastal Carolina University’s Recreation Management class converts the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex into a spooktacular site for an array of activities to include hayrides, marshmallow roasting, trick-or-treating and much more. Scare free and Scare Zones offer a variety of excitement levels that is sure to satisfy all. ADMISSION - $5 PER VEHICLE. Price does not include concessions.

The Great Christmas Light Show is a park-wide lighted celebration that is sure to capture the true spirit of the season! The drive through light show will feature over 1.7 million lights festively displayed along a 1.5 mile drive throughout the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. Over 400 magical light displays, some up to 70 feet tall, have been custom made for The Great Christmas Light Show. Visitors will experience 14 enchanting animated figures and holiday scenes where the lights will come to life. After the journey through the light show, we invite everyone to park their car and visit Santa’s Village where they can enjoy hot chocolate and S’mores, get an up close look at the lights on the Santa Express Train Ride, ice skate, experience the Go Ape lighted tree top adventure, and, of course, meet Santa! $15 per vehicle (with up to 15 people). Nights of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens

See Brookgreen Gardens come to life amid the soft glow of more than 5,500 hand-lit candles and countless sparkling lights from 3 - 10 p.m. Walk the paths with a warm cup of cider, hear the sound of holiday music, and celebrate the season with family and friends.

The 85-foot-tall fir tree decorated with 100,000 lights will be lighted in ceremonial fashion at 5:45 p.m. every night. Beverages available. Dinner catered by Inlet Affairs, serving from 3:30 to 9:00 PM.

The Christmas Cantata is an annual tradition and for many the highlight of the holiday season. Church choirs from the North Myrtle Beach area join to create a musical program you will not soon forget. Tickets are required for admission and are available at the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. At Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church, 6th Avenue South and Hillside Drive. For 60 years, the close family harmonies of Larry, Rudy and Steve Gatlin, better known as Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, have given the trio a signature sound that led to country classics like “All The Gold In California” and “Houston (Means I’m One Day Closer To You).” The brothers won a GRAMMY® for their 1976 breakthrough hit, “Broken Lady.”
